Rotary Foundation: Audacious Goals for Real Impact
Rotary Charitable Foundation chair Leslie Olson described the entity as having “Audacious goals for real impact.” Managing funds with “care and vision,” the Foundation is a non-profit charitable entity that manages endowment funds and is future-focused for sustainability.
The Foundation works to support the annual scholarship fund for students overcoming obstacles, and has funded the Lake Area Free Clinic, Blessings in a Backpack, and the Oconomowoc Historical Society. Olson encouraged Rotarians to contribute toward the worthwhile fund.
Supporting Community Health with ProHealth Care
Paula Jacobs of the ProHealth Care Foundation described the good works completed, including emergency room renovations, expanded radiology areas, the Angel’s Grace boardwalk, and enhanced breast screening technologies. She encouraged Rotarians to participate in the LakeWalk for Cancer on May 2 around Fowler Lake, raising funds for cancer research.
Aaron Jonasen, ProHealth Care Oncology Counselor, described art therapies, grief support groups, and the work to enhance lung cancer screening and to fortify the second opinion program. He emphasized the values of incorporating “mind, body, and spirit” into every treatment, highlighting the importance of treating the entire family.

⚠️ Monday Logistics Update
Rotarians – we have a bit of a scramble Monday. At 1 p.m., the Nature Hill Intermediate School choir is coming to perform a spring concert in the clubhouse for residents.
We will have to conclude our meeting promptly so that they can get lined up and ready to sing. Please dispose of your lunch settings promptly at the conclusion of our program.
I apologize for the inconvenience, as this was the only time NHI could perform. However, anyone is invited to stay longer to watch the concert!
